Care Instructions
CARE INSTRUCTION
As with any beautiful thing you buy, care should be taken. In the case
of your new Colour of Tropez earrings and accessories this is an
important part in increasing the longevity of your product. Epoxy
resin is very hard wearing, however there are some things that you can
do to protect and care for your accessories. Try to avoid bumping and
scratching your pieces and don’t sleep in your earrings as this can
damage them. If it happens that they do break due to this,
send us a photo and we will see if it can be fixed. This will incur a
repair fee but at least you still have your beloved earrings.
Resin is not waterproof, so ideally don’t shower or
swim in your beauties. They are water resistant so a little splash
here and there is fine.
Sunshine, we love it but your resin earrings don’t like to be left
in the sun to work on their tan. This will not only cause your resin
to discolour but also can soften and distort your earrings.
Don’t let your earrings smoke, haha..not literally right, but if
they are around cigarette smoke/or general fire smoke they may
discolour over time.
Avoid exposing your products to any harsh chemicals or cleaning
agents. This includes deodorant, perfume, hair spray, antibacterial
cleaners etc. They will all react to your resin and cause it to go
yellow and break down. Instead use the Colour of Tropez soft polishing
cloth provided with your purchase to wipe them over.
Colour of Tropez have small pieces such as earring backings and jump
rings. In cases where you have small children, be careful not to leave
them around as they may be a choking hazard.
Polymer clay earrings need even more love than your resin ones just due to the material used. Polymer is fairly durable however they will break if dropped or left in your bag to bang against other items.
Do not leave them in the sun or around for small children to play with. Do not bend them or mishandle them. Be gentle with putting them on and taking them off your ears. Do not wear them in water and do not sleep in them..they like to be off your ears during these times.
And last but not least, love those earrings like you love anything,
care for them and keep them in a safe cosy spot. Maybe an earring
stand so all your friends and fam can oggle at them or in a nice dry
keep safe box/draw.
I can already see how much you LOVE your new earrings, so wear them,
own them baby!
